Bias the media your own self

Roch101 makes an irrefutable point to someone complaining about lack of newspaper coverage on a pet story: "You ARE the press if you write it."

He goes on to explain how, with no "editorial intervention", any citizen can publish an article to the front page of Greensboro101, to be seen by thousands of their fellow citizens.

And this conversation all took place at the newspaper editor's blog.

UPDATE: And all on the same day the newspaper rolls out their Citizen Journalism site (which, if managed and edited with extreme prejudice for quality writing, looks to be much better than many national efforts of the same ilk -- see MSNBC's effort, also known as the "send us stupid Valentine's stories your co-workers are sick of hearing" site.)
