On Our Watch

Anthony Cordesman, senior fellow of the Center for Strategic and International Studies and former Pentagon official, says the current U.S. administration is "in a fantasyland" when it comes to assessing the situation in Iraq -- "in a manner reminiscent of Vietnam."

I watched a solemn succession of speakers at the Vietnam Memorial today on CNN. I know that our collective memory is longer than 30 years.

Get those troops out of there, Mr. President. We're losing good people for no good reason. Fix it. Your political capital account is overdrawn.
